HATKO Technical Equipment, Representation and Trading Inc. was established in 1973 as a family venture and nowadays it is a diversified group of companies with approximately 240 personnel involved in production, import – export, yacht tourism, defense industry, steel iron trade, industrial coal etc.

HATKO A.Ş. – Mother Company

· Regarding the defense and the ship building industry, HATKO A.Ş. is representing leading European companies in Turkey like Ferrostaal AG (former Thyssen Rheinstahl Technik GmbH), Blohm + Voss GmbH, THALES Nederland B.V. (former Hollandse Signaalapparaten B.V.), Otomelara SPA, General Electric Marine Gasturbines Inc., Noske Kaeser GmbH since end 70’s and beginning 80’s.
Through the representation of the Hamburg shipyard Blohm + Voss HATKO
realized a big construction project of eight frigates for the Turkish Marine, worth
approximately 3 Billion DM.

Our president Mr. HATAYLI is a member of the Supervisory Board of Blohm &
Voss since 1996.

· Steel and raw material trade incorporates sourcing by countries like Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Romania, Tunisia but also providing the required transport logistics, finance, sales and marketing activities.

HATKO has offices in Moscow, Romania, Ukraine, Germany and Switzerland.

· Since 26 years HATKO Coal Division is supplying steel mills in Turkey with metallurgical coal, low volatile, medium volatile and high volatile coal.
Starting at the very beginnings of met-coal import to Turkey, we have been supplying continuously to steel mills. Our first supplies were effected from USA and then beginning 1980’s we have established the alternative source connection with Australia.
Our company has been the pioneer, effecting the first coal shipment from Australia to Turkey. Since then our company has supplied approximately 20 million tons of coal from Australia. In 1995, HATKO has received a “ Certificate of Appreciation ” by the Australian Senator the Hon. Bob McMullan, Minister for Trade in recognition of our efforts for promoting Australian coal exports to Turkey.
We started business with UTAH Coal in Australia and since it has been acquired by BHP, we have continued our business with BHP.
Nowadays, we are procuring coking coal from ENERGO Group / Ukraine.

HATSAIL HATSAIL, one of the group companies, is a yachting operator and travel agency specialized in quality yacht cruises. Among owning four 30 m luxury motorsailers,they manage other quality boats and organize all aspects of yacht cruises in Turkey with transfers, flights, land tours etc.

HATBA
HATKO is also in aquaculture business since 1991. In the hatchery in Ören/Milas seabass and seabream are grown. HATKO has been the first company having obtained open sea fish farming space in Bodrum Turkey. Current production capacity of the cages is 700 tons / year and the investment is expanding continuously.

HATEK
	HATEK is the representative of Thyssen Polymer GmbH in Turkey and Middle East, importing high quality uPVC profile systems from Thyssen Germany, providing montage and service for Turkey and also exporting to C.I.S. countries.

THYSSEN ELEVATORS ESCALATORS - TURKEY
HATKO also has a % 24.5 share in Thyssen Elevators and Escalators Company established in December 1999 in Istanbul together with Thyssen Aufzüge GmbH / Germany (% 51 share) and GÖKHAN Elevators ( % 24.5 share). Some projects realized are Istanbul Municipality Metro Project, Istanbul Atatürk Airport Passenger Boarding Bridges, Metrocity.
